Magno Mariano’s music draws from Afro-Brazilian roots, bossanova, samba and contemporary jazz, but also from the island sounds and the cultural miscegenation experienced in the Canary Islands. Among his main influences are João Gilberto, Djavan, Caetano Veloso, and musicians from the jazz universe such as Esperanza Spalding or Hermeto Pascoal, with whom he shares the search for authenticity and creative freedom.
Throughout his career, he has participated in music festivals, concerts in cultural spaces, independent music cycles and private events.
